His presentation aims to look over some changes that occurred after the Covid-19 pandemic in the Korean drama industry and suggest ideas to help better respond to them. The spread of coronavirus has been acting as a catalyst for drama production and consumption to go online. While global OTT companies are leading the market, the size of production has increased, new production conditions have emerged, the concept of IP has grown stronger, and the global demand for dramas continues to rise. There are some concerns that only a handful of players in the market would enjoy the short-term interests, thus damaging the foundation for sustainable growth. In this regard, this presentation will discuss ideas to encourage growth for the future in a changing environment.
